Coffee Pots

Ahhh the smell of freshly brewed coffee got me thinking about coffee the old fashioned way, not dripped in some electrical gadget.  Have a look at these:

Copper has always had an appeal

You can still purchase these electric percolators -

Lighting

Repurposed Group
Love the idea of making lighting out of things old, repurposed, recycled!
found these shown here

cynefin:  is a welsh word for
"a place where a being feels it ought to live.
It is where nature around you
feels right and welcoming."

Boho kitchens

While its a little blurry, I like all the different
colors of what looks like Fiesta Ware
on the shelf running around the top shelf.

The purple rug on the floor, along with the
bare board cupboard doors appeals to me.

The interest of the shelf over the window caught my eye

The open shelving combined with a large picture window
makes this a very appealing room!

There's something about open shelving in a kitchen
that seems so inviting.
Maybe because we can see the items
we own, and treasure, all the time!

Furniture

I love to browse and see what others are thinking when it comes to upcycling or repurposing things.  Here are a few of the things I found interesting (along with their links)

All the different drawers, fitted into one cabinet

I thought this table was very unique, for indoors or patio use!

The finish on this table fascinates me

Repurposed Planters

Every day we see things that we no longer use -- but what if we use our imagination and use them for some other purpose?  Here are a few ideas for plants:

An old bathtub
makes a nice place
to plant petunias
or other vining flowers

As a writer,
I'm not sure
I could do this
to a typewrter!

I love the whimsy
and color
of the rain boots!

an old chair,
painted up,
makes a good backdrop
for greens and flowers

Simple buckets attached
to a fence.... I would have
loved this when I had a
small apartment sized yard
in Ohio!

Hanging an old piece of gutter
makes for a perfect shelter
for smaller plants

Coffee cans painted
and attached to a brick wall
adds a striking contrast

Small Adobe House

Agnesa Reeve writes in her book "The Small Adobe House" :
"An adobe house has an endearing habit of taking on the personality of its owners.  It does not dictate a way of life, but gently supports that of its inhabitants.  Walking into someone's adobe home introduces you to the people as well as the house."

Wouldn't this be a great patio door... and view?
A very private placita

There seems to be a special kinship between
an adobe house and its surroundings.

This one is 700 square feet !
with a kitchenette, bath and two bedrooms

This curved fireplace appeals to me!
Adobe walls envelop you with a cool respite
on sweltering days
and a cozy warmth on a frigid one!

Great kitchens

Casa Consuelo --- Perfect!
http://frommoontomoon.blogspot.com/2010/09/casa-consuelo.html
It isn't the pink that does it for me here, I just love these shutter doors,
they look repurposed or upcycled!

Vintage stove!

This one strikes me as being
very natural, down to earth!

I just love some of these kitchens... they look so homey !

Block Planter

This would make a boring block wall more interesting... and functional!

Living Room

I really like this simple arrangement for 'living room furniture'
.... simple, basic, and cozy.
